The American International School of Monrovia is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and is pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy, a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high quality programmes of international education that share a powerful vision. Only schools authorised by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme or the IB Career-related Certificate (IBCC) Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorisation will be granted.

As the Director, I am firmly committed to guiding students in developing their strength of character and providing educational experiences that inspire action, creativity, and service. At AISM, students are at the heart of our educational program, paving the way for meaningful learning experiences.
We prioritize providing a safe and secure educational environment that encourages each student to achieve their academic goals while taking ownership of their learning and enhancing their critical thinking skills.
Our goal is not only to support students in achieving excellence during their time at AISM but also to ensure they attain their post-secondary educational aspirations. We will achieve this by incorporating the most up-to-date learning objectives for our students and enabling our teachers to employ research-based instructional practices in the classroom.
